Flecks of Love is a visual editorial of our beautiful historic home, our outdoor adventures, glimpses of our travels, and examples of our handicraft. I, Jamie, am a professional photographer and freelance writer. Photography conveys our lives in a way that words cannot depict, and it memorializes moments of our experiences that we tend to forget.

I have leveraged my photography skills for over a decade working with numerous outdoor companies and well-recognized brands. My photography has been featured by Visit the USA, the Oklahoma Department of Tourism, the Mammoth Lakes of California Tourism, DTLA Times, Dame Traveler, Only In Your State, and many other distinguished organizations and communities.

I have traveled to 22 countries and visited 45 out of the 50 United States. We currently divide our time between Texas and Oklahoma.

My book, Hiking Oklahoma, can be pre-ordered at the following national retailers:

- Hi, we're the Flecks -

- Frequently asked questions -

1

What is the story behind your home?

Our Georgian-style home was built in 1928 in a historical district in the Texas panhandle. It has been fun redesigning the place while still maintaining its old charm. We have a garage apartment that also serves as an airbnb, and also an adorable greenhouse made with the original windows from the house. We are working on an organic gardening space in our backyard as well.

It looks like you have traveled quite a bit! What places have you been to?

Traveling is a big part of our lives, as it teaches us to savor the environment around us, as well as open our eyes to appreciate different cultures. I (Jamie) so far have been to 22 countries and 45 of the 50 United States! It's on my bucket list to visit all 50 states and all the world's continents, not counting Antarctica.

Love your photography! What kind of camera do you use?

Thank you so much! The camera is the most important tool of conveying what we see and feel to our audience. We alternate between different Canon DSLR models, but we currently use the Canon EOS R. Our favorite lenses to use are prime lenses.

4

What do you like to do during your free time?

Aside from being homebodies (reading, gardening, and making goods from our bakery), traveling, and hiking and camping, I like to exercise my creativity! I set a goal for myself each year to learn a new craft. Some crafts that I've picked up include felt working, polymer clay miniatures, punch needle, sewing, and painting. You can see some of my handmade goods here. I also love to write, and have authored a book called Hiking Oklahoma.
